Funeral services honoring the life of Althia “Mickey” Veuleman, 84, of Pelican, were held at 2:00 PM Monday, April 10, 2017 at Wallace Baptist Church in Pelican, LA with Dr. Jeff Jinks, Reverend Joe Thibeau and Reverend James Moore officiated. Burial will follow at Spring Ridge Cemetery in Pleasant Hill, LA. The family received friends at Rose- Neath Funeral Home on Sunday, April 9, 2017 from 5:30 PM till 8:00 PM. Mickey was born on March 13, 1933 to Earl P. and Myrtice Brown and entered into rest on April 8, 2017. Preceding Mickey in death is her husband, Ray D. Veuleman; parents, Earl P. and Myrtice Brown; sons, Michael Ray Veuleman, Donald Jeffery Veuleman; daughter, Cynthia Kay Veuleman; sister, Lois Brown Campbell; and son-in-law, Roger D. Jennings. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her son, James R. Veuleman and his wife Sheila of Pelican, LA; daughter, Mary Linda Jennings of Eunice, LA; sister, Doris McAlpine of McGee, MS; brother, Earl Truman Brown and wife Evelyn of Stonewall, LA; ten grandchildren; one greatgrandchild and one on the way; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Pallbearers were active deacons at Wallace Baptist Church and honorary pallbearers were her grandsons and grandsons-in-law.
