Funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Marie Cordova, 72, were held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Maple Springs Baptist Church in Logansport, LA with Reverend Lee McClintock and Reverend Tommy McMillon officiating. Burial followed at Chreene Cemetery in Logansport, LA. The family received friends at Maple Springs Baptist Church on Monday, May 22, 2017 from 5 PM till 9 PM. Marie was born on November 14, 1944 to Herman and Madie Matheny and entered into rest on May 19, 2017. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother. Preceding Marie in death is her parents, Herman and Madie Matheny. Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Billy Gene Cordova of Mansfield, LA; son, Tony Pitts and his wife Diane of Logansport, LA; daughters, Tammy Clark and her husband Chris of Lindale, TX, Angela Moore and her husband Bobby of Bossier City, LA, Wendy Parker; sister, Linda Baugh of Phoenix, AZ; brother, Darryl Matheny of Mansfield, LA; fourteen grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren. Honoring the life of Marie as pallbearers were Jacob Pitts, James Pitts, Andrew Clark, Josh Parker, Trey Moore, Jon Tompkins, and Micah Forrest.
