
Charles Cook, 83, of Grand Cane, Louisiana, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017, at his residence. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 25, 2017, at Watson & Sons Funeral Home in Center with Bro. Ron McClellon and Bro. Reginald Deleon officiating. Interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Center. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Mr. Cook was born August 30, 1933, in Joaquin, to Aubrey “Buster” Cook and Mildred Etoille Parker Cook. He served in the Signal Corps of the United States Army during the Korean War. Mr. Cook was a member of Toledo Bend District 8 Ministries and Gloster Baptist Church. He is survived by Wife: Carol Cook of Grand Cane, Louisiana Daughter: Cherrie Cook-Flores and husband, Robert, of Grand Cane, Louisiana Son: Christian Cook of Keatchie, Louisiana Grandchildren: Derek Deas of Stonewall, Louisiana Brittany Miller of Keatchie, Louisiana Numerous nieces and nephews Preceded in death by Parents: Aubrey “Buster” Cook and Mildred Etoille Parker Cook Daughter-in-law: Deborah Miller. Pallbearers will be Dan McBride, Dean Graner, David Long, Dwayne Restivo, Dave Means and Jim Roper. Honorary pallbearers will be Winter Case, Mack Vance, Taylor Burford and Hall Burford.
