Eugene “Gene” Paul Cliff of Logansport, La was born September 26, 1937 to Ray and Dollie Cliff in Ohio. He entered into peaceful rest on November 29, 2020 after a lengthy illness. He was 84 years young.
Gene is preceded in death by the love of his life and wife of 55 years, Barbara Palmer Cliff; granddaughter Tori Leigh Cliff; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Gene proudly served his country for a combined total of fourteen years in first the United States Marine Corp. as an aircraft radio repairman and then in the United States Air Force as an aircraft structural mechanic. He was involved with the Boy Scouts for many years serving as Assistant Scout Master for Troop 69 in Redland, Florida and later as Scout Master for Troop 33 in Logansport.
Left to cherish his memory are Gene and Barbara’s five children: son Billy Cliff and wife Bonnie; daughters Benita Smith, Brenda Stephens and husband Pee Wee, Linda Hall and husband Mike, and Lucille Belsha and husband Randal. He is also survived by one brother, Rod Cliff of Sandusky, Ohio, fourteen grandchildren, and numerous greatgrandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The Cliff Family would like to thank the entire staff at Pine Grove Nursing Home in Center, Texas and the second floor staff at Nacogdoches Medical Center, for their outstanding care and compassion given to both “Dad/PaPa” and his family. ?
