Funeral services honoring the life of Joyce Ann Gates Seago, of Logansport, Louisiana were held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana. Officiating the service was Rev. Melba Rogers. A visitation was held on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Mansfield, Louisiana from 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.. Interment followed at O. E. Price Cemetery in Logansport, Louisiana.
Joyce was born on November 17, 1943 in Mansfield, Louisiana to Vasco Claybrook and Mozelle Cox Claybrook. She entered into eternal rest on August 2, 2021 in Garrison, Texas.
Preceding Joyce in death are her parents, Vasco and Mozelle Claybrook; first husband, Aubrey Gates; sister, Sue Monsour; brothers, Robert Claybrook and Larry Claybrook. She leaves behind her husband of 7 years, Cecil Seago of Logan sport, Louisiana; sons, Ronald Gates and husband Matt Volkman of Springfield, Missouri, Brad Gates and wife April of Joaquin, Texas, Gary Seago and wife Susan of Raymondville, Missouri; daughters, Vicki Fisher and husband Rodney of Stanley, Louisiana, Becky Juarez and husband Ray of Nacogdoches, Texas, Susan McGee and husband Kevin of Martinsville, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Binning, Kimberly Cohoon, Greg Fisher, Ashley Prudhomme, Lauren Sissell, Logan Gates, Lexi Gates, Stephen McGee, Brittany Ray, Tiffany Drewery, Savannah Anding, Colby McGee, Caitlyn Anderson, Hunter Gates, Kristopher Gates; along with 29 great-grandchildren and one great-greatgrandchild on the way.
Honoring Joyce as pallbearers were Greg Fisher, Michael Binning, Stephen McGee, Colby McGee, Hunter Gates, Kristopher Gates, Logan Gates, and Christopher Cohoon.
